The show of our generation.
The fetish show of BIS Theatre Company.
What a joy to perform this show in Timisoara, the city of revolution!
The cast includes three young actors, born in 1990: Andrada Grosu, Aneea Axentea and Claudiu Fălămaș.
An original script, inspired by thoughts, reflections, life stories.
Our heroes are going through the 1990s, the darkest and greyest decade in Romania's modern history. They offer us slices of life sprinkled with nostalgia, with haunting and bitter memories.
The 1990s meant: chaos, violence, instability, the arrival of the miners, poverty, a semblance of democracy, the first so-called free elections. But at the same time, for the heroes of the show, the 1990s meant the first day of school, the first kindergarten teacher, the first kiss. For them, Bombonel was a cartoon character who appeared too often on TV, and politics was the incomprehensible madness of silly grown-ups who had forgotten how to live their lives.
We will all find ourselves in the stories of the show "BORN IN '90".
We will laugh, we will wince, we will accompany the actors in this puzzle of the contemporary young man.
The show does not lack direct references to the socio-political realities of our country. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes acidic. There is no lack of live music or short video projections of key moments from the 90s.
The show "BORN IN '90" functions as a space of shared memories, of the bitter joy of having shared together 33 years of recent, troubled history.
