The Romanian Chamber Orchestra, a heartfelt project born from the desire of Romanian musicians from the Diaspora to represent and promote Romania around the world, invites you to enjoy a new unique experience through a concert filled with emotion and skill, designed for families.
With the value of its members and its contribution to the national heritage, the Romanian Chamber Orchestra represents a cornerstone of Romanian culture. The ensemble's size varies from 23 to 56 musicians, offering flexibility and versatility in approaching a diverse repertoire. The authentic interpretation of works intertwines with the exceptional skill of the ensemble's musicians, resulting in maintaining an excellent level of performance from concert to concert. The artistic director of the ensemble is violist Cristian Andriș, and the orchestra's conductor is maestro Cristian Măcelaru – the artistic director of the George Enescu International Festival, principal conductor of the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, and musical director of the Orchestre National de France. During the last tour, the ensemble enjoyed exceptional success in Romania, Switzerland, and Germany, receiving ovations from the audience for their passionately performed music, executed with the mastery characteristic of the world's finest ensembles.
