In 2023, Timișoara bet all cards on culture as an essential element of its urban development strategy. We'll see soon enough if it has succeeded. The signs are, however, gratifying, as demonstrated by this impressive pleiad of exhibitions gathered in a thematic dossier hosted by ARTA Magazine. 

For the Romanian artists, many of them young, present in abundance in the displays of sculpture, painting, drawings, and contemporary art in Timișoara, the TM2023 program represented a chance and an extraordinary international showcase. It was the same for the local artistic ecosystem, involving all those artist-run spaces in the contemporary art project. Some of these things undoubtedly emerge from the thematic inventory proposed by ARTA. 

This event is part of "Rituals, Keepers and Storms" Exhibition | Special Programme - Closing Weekend ECoC 2023. The exhibition is organized by the Art Encounters Foundation and is co-financed by the Municipality of Timișoara through the Center for Projects and the Administration of the National Cultural Fund (AFCN), with MNAC Bucharest and S.M.A.K. Ghent as strategic partners.
