During the workshop, students will create their own Manifesto for Peace in the form of drawings, paintings, manuscripts, or small painted spheres.
The most successful creations will later be exhibited in an exhibition on the theme of Peace at the Timișoara Project Center.
The concept of the Manifesto for Peace project was created by the artist Livia Mateiaș in 2013 in an artistic residency in France, which materialized through several performance-type events, artistic installations and several creative workshops.
Livia Mateiaș brings this concept to the attention of students through a series of creative workshops in schools. Students will have the opportunity to discover more about what Peace means, to set their own intentions towards a better world, where Peace, understanding and cooperation are essential forms for an authentic life lived with meaning.
This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is financed by the Power Station+ program | Creative schools, run by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with amounts allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
