I regret to inform you that I hope that this decision came out of the blue in the elevator, but please understand: the jury was in a very difficult position based on the jury's decision, the text is of course not good, but hopeful, I'm over you, not you, didn't get in, we can't, you didn't get in, I can't talk, I don't know what I want. I think of you a lot, and wish you eternal creative energy.
The central theme of the performance is rejection. A slightly overenthusiastic language teacher brings her a rich collection of rejection letters as class material. Professional letters are mixed up with private, reality with fiction. She explores different ways of saying no, often times rejecting the audience members, or recalls the most embarrassing relationship failures. Why not me me me me me me? Or why not you you you you you you? Or is it actually not about me at all?
