Adriana Gheorghe invites us, in greater or lesser complicity with the participants of the "Performance School", to a performance that will address things that are longing, small and large, personal and global, and will oscillate between performance and performative meeting protocol, questioning the utility and point of performativity.
For 10 days, over three months, Adriana rehearsed a "performance school", both a performance workshop, a school performance, an open rehearsal for a new work and, above all, a performative protocol of temporary radical encounter between those present, their concerns and his artistic practice centered around three themes: language, landscape and choir.
Adriana Gheorghe works on the border between performance, poetry, serious theory and speculative pedagogy. He uses his own artistic practice to curate processes and constellations and imagine new modes of transmission and coexistence. He is currently the host of the plural space Teatre in Bucharest. With an initial training in literature and art theory, for about ten years he has been choreographing verbal language in the context of contemporary dance, in its many possible declinations, on the border with post-dramatic theatre, poetry, theory, conceptual art and in the many relationships that it establishes with that situated knowledge, in order to resensitize him. He has presented works at Pact Essen, Brut Vienna, ZKM Karlsruhe, Pa-f St Erme, Jaffa Museum Atar, KuLe Berlin, Akademie Schloss Solitude, TanzFaktur Cologne, Norma T Oslo, Project Salon, Atelier 35, Tranzit, IOR and Izvor parks , MNAC, CNDB, WASP, the Brush Factory and Matca Cluj gallery, etc. He collaborated with Alina Popa, Susanne Grau, Lilach Livne, Kroot Juurak, Mette Edvardsen, Andreea David, Eliza Trefaş, CESI (laboratory on performativity) etc.
This event is part of Artă-mă. Reintroduction to artistic education #4, organized within the Outside the School project of the Minitremu Association.
