Ciprian Homorodean was born in Timisoara, Romania, on August 3, 1982. After many years spent in Brussels and Barcelona, he currently lives and works in Romania.
Homorodean completed his studies at the Western University of Timișoara, majoring in Sculpture, which he understands as a broader notion - in the Beuys-ian spirit. He therefore uses a variety of mediums to create his works, through which he explores social, political and economic experience and stereotypes.
Ciprian exhibited all over the world, realized numerous independent projects. He was invited to international exhibitions such as Together – Apart Bienal Sur (Colombia, 2019), Intérims: Art contre emploi (France, 2017), Libertas - VII Bienal de Jafre (Spain, 2015), Brothers and Sisters (Berlin) and Terrible Beauty: Art, Crisis, Change & The Office of Non-Compliance, Dublin Contemporary (Ireland, 2011) He was commissioned a (temporary) public monument by the city of Barcelona (2017) and received the Prix du Hainaut in Belgium (2007).
