Together with photographer and cultural mediator Claudia Bucsai, the students of the two partner high schools in the project go back in time to the origins of photography, building their cameras from scratch. Guided by expert facilitators, they explore the principles of light, optics and image formation.
Transforming a dedicated space into a pinhole camera, students witness the magic of light projecting inverted images onto surfaces.
This hands-on activity not only hones technical skills, but also instills a deep appreciation for the fundamental concepts behind image creation.
This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is financed by the Power Station+ program | Creative schools, run by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with amounts allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
