The World Peace Game is an educational tool created by John Hunter that emphasizes the awareness and appreciation of democratic values through the simulation and interaction of strategic global roles and their application in the spirit of ensuring world peace.
The aim of the game is to provide children with a complex context in which they have the opportunity to play a strategic 'worldwide' role, a role that comes with both joys and benefits and many responsibilities. The awareness that happens until the end makes them much more attentive and present to what is happening around them, in the world they live in, with all the existing crises at an economic, political, social, cultural level: refugees, conflicts, wars , hunger, climate change/pollution, education or lack thereof, etc.
Students will have the chance to culturally connect with the featured entities from around the world. Their ability to step into such a role and the transfer of knowledge and skills they can achieve during game week is an essential educational component to explore within schools.
