Trib’Art Association proposes for 2023 a program dedicated to classical music professionals and the dedicated audience while also seeking to reach a new audience.
In the first part of the project, we will organise activities under the Romanian Chamber Orchestra umbrella, created by Trib Art in 2019, a prestigious ensemble of 22 Romanian musicians who perform both in the country and in some of the world's most important orchestras.
The Romanian Chamber Orchestra is conducted by Maestro Cristian Măcelaru, artistic director of the French National Orchestra and artistic director of the George Enescu Festival, and one of the most highly regarded conductors in the world.
During the rehearsals în Timișoara, we will invite orchestra members to hold 8 masterclasses for young musicians, these courses being preceded by a unique conducting masterclass in Europe, led by Cristian Măcelaru. After the preparation period, the Romanian Chamber Orchestra will hold a gala concert where the graduates can take the stage. Other concerts conducted by Cristian Măcelaru will delight the audience in Timisoara, Bucharest and Budapest.
The second part of the Radiant Orchestra project is planned for a summit that will bring together representative sectors related to the interests of the classical community members.
Teachers, performing artists, agents, artistic managers or music lovers will be invited to participate at the summit divided into 4 masterclasses, led by international artists. In a coordinated effort to revitalise and modernise the cultural structure we organise 4 workshops, 9 conferences, 6 roundtables and 18 one-on-one sessions.
This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is funded by the City of Timișoara, through the Center for Projects.
