On June 3rd and 4th, 2023, we invite you to participate in the Fermentation Station workshop, alongside Mihaela Vasiliu, where you will learn more about this fascinating world. You will understand the basic principles of fermentation and how it transforms food. In addition to the technical aspects, you will discover how this ancestral process has been used throughout history and how it has evolved to bring us benefits in modern times.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to experiment hands-on. You will learn various techniques and simple fermentation recipes, how to combine different ingredients and flavors for delicious results. You will leave with new knowledge, inspiration, and practical skills that you can integrate into your everyday life.
The workshop is aimed at young people aged between 16 and 20. Participation is free, and registration can be done here.

Through my recent works, I strive to go beyond concepts and explore deeply the complexities of the world around us. In order to accomplish this, I draw upon the wisdom of plants and bacteria. Guided by the surrounding processes of fermentation, my goal is to share simple recipes as an alternative to the industrialization of food production and the exploitation of non-human entities. For me, fermentation signifies a connection to a slower rhythm of observing and experiencing life, while also practicing patience in the face of both external and internal processes. Creating time and space for observation and care is, to me, the fundamental act of resisting the chaotic rhythm of capitalism." - Mihaela Vasiliu
