The Daisler Association brings life to the night in Timișoara with the 2023 edition of the renowned light-art festival Lights On, part of the cultural calendar of the "Timișoara 2023 European Capital of Culture" program.
The most intricate edition of the Lights On festival to date transforms Timișoara into a nocturnal cultural lab, operating under the umbrella of the International Light Festival Organization, which gathers over 40 global festivals of this kind. The fact that Lights On is the first Romanian festival member of this prestigious association underscores its cultural significance and impact.
Culture doesn't sleep - and it shouldn't! For this, Lights On - The Night-Art Festival aims to awaken the streets of Timișoara throughout the night with a variety of events, from theatre performances and live music to guided tours and circuits of light installations. Of course, the festival maintains deep respect for those who prefer the quiet of the night, without disturbing public order or traffic.
To fully discover the nocturnal universe of the festival, we await the curious at www.night-art.ro, where special guests, maps to nighttime destinations, and the complete schedule of luminous adventures will gradually be revealed.
The project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023" and is funded through the Grow Timișoara 2023 programme, implemented by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with funds allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
