On Sunday, December 3, the documentary Dracula, Travel Agent! will be screened at Faber. The screening will be followed by a conference presented by the author of the film's script, Nicolae Pepene, historian, director of Braşov Regional Museum of History.
Nicolae Pepene will present a spectacular aspect of both recent Romanian historiography and the history of Romanian tourism: the way in which Romanian communist authorities capitalized on the commercial myth of Dracula and the "dispute" between the count created by Bram Stoker and the historical figure Vlad Ţepes.
The conference will take place starting with 20.00, at Faber. Admission is free.
The screening is part of the special section of Dracula TiMes Film Festival, under the motto "Dracula: Myth and reality", which exploits the myth of Count Dracula, a universal character, known all over the world, and which will give us the opportunity to talk about the myth of Dracula and present the historical truth of Dracula.
