The exhibition Alluviums and Thermoclines, curated by Sașa-Liviu Stoianovici, presents different artistic attitudes referring to the primordial element of Water. With the means of video art, through recordings and sound processing, with the help of visual installations, the artists express their philosophical ideas, militant or poetic attitudes generated by topics such as environmental change, wars, deforestation, environmental activism, but also by their own stories and memories. Meditations on the beauty of Nature or invitations to reflect on burning issues - ecological, social, the works gathered in the exhibition outline a map of today's artistic understanding of Water, in its many forms, with its myriad currents and layers.
You can find the works at the Pavillion, the Fountains and the Iron Remover.
The project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023" and is funded through the Grow Timișoara 2023 programme, implemented by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with funds allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
