This project brings into the public space two decommissioned water treatment facilities - the Urseni Water Plant, future Water Museum of Timișoara, and the Industrial Water Plant. These beautiful pieces of Secession industrial heritage are revived as alternative spaces for cultural events. We invite the public to discover some of the best kept secrets of the city and to reflect on our water heritage, an essential resource of any community. ”Cultural connections at the Water Plant” links people with heritage places and brings the artists closer to their audience. On Saturday, February 18, both facilities are open for visitors and host guided tours, reading workshops and activities for children. On Sunday, February 19, art professionals, independent artists and partner organisations are invited to a cultural networking event, to discover the potential of the future Water Museum and explore the opportunities for future co-creative projects.
