The Timis County Youth Foundation (FITT) is an umbrella organisation for youth NGOs in the west part of Romania. Founded in 1990 and having 32 youth NGO members, FITT is the most important and old youth NGO in this part of the country. Programs and activities implemented by FITT range from social programs for disadvantaged young people to cultural programs, active citizenship, and policy development. FITT is in possession of the Timisoara Youth House, an impressive 11,000 m2 building, and was awarded in 2016 with the Council of Europe Quality Label for Youth Centres. FITT plays a pivotal role in the field of youth and culture, supporting and involving the community in numerous projects and initiatives.
