The French Institute in Timișoara will organize the Impuls Festival. Impuls aims to use performing arts and participatory architecture to develop new models of action to promote active participation in sharing common European values: respect, solidarity, and inclusion.
There will be international collaborations with French artists and architects from the association Le Plus Petit Cirque du Monde (PPCM) and journalists from Radio Live. Local collaborators include Unfold Motion, Circus School, Școală de circ, Breasla Artizanilor, Ambulanța pentru Monumente.
In June, Radio Live Production will present at Cinema Victoria (TBA) a multimedia show (Radio Live Show) in which four young people will share their life stories with the public. Between July 2-6, 2023, the Circus School will invest in Piața Traian to offer circus workshops to children and teenagers. Between June 28 and July 6, the artists PPCM and Unfold Motion will be in an artistic residency that will allow them to develop a dance and circus show on July 6, 2023, in Traian Square; a concert will follow this show. Also, in the same period, the architects of PPCM will start the architecture workshops and crafts within the "School of know-how" (“Școlii de a ști cum”) that will take place in the garden and prayer house of the Synagogue in Fabric.
The Impuls Festival will strengthen collaborative relationships between Romanian and French artists and architects. Beyond its activation during the European Capital of Culture 2023, the "School of Know-How" ("Școala de a ști cum" ) will serve as a basis for a practice of renovating local heritage.
