The story takes place at a hostel reception in Timișoara in 2023, when the city is the European Capital of Culture. Tourists from all over the world are flooding in searching for "that something" unique element every city has, the spirit of the place defined by architecture, local cuisine, culture, nightlife, events, the city center, the shady neighborhood etc. Timișoara, a cosmopolitan city has to offer a bit of this and a bit of that, but local products don’t necessarily satisfy internațional cravings.
Some tourists come back to the hostel beaten up, others are robbed, in love, deceived, desolate, thrilled or having been fined by the police. the last one, a Romanian from Moldova who recently returned from having harvested asparagus in Germany, shows us atrocious images of today’s Europe.
