Asociația Părinți în Dialog was founded in 2016 with the aim to offer a context for involvement to all the parents in the community of Timisoara, in order to create opportunities to raise children in the spirit of dialogue, creativity and respect for democratic values. The actions of the Association are addressed to children, parents and teachers, focusing on the development of empathy, communication with respect for differences and intercultural interaction through dialogue. For this purpose, the Association founded Babel School in Timisoara, in 2016.

The Association actively promotes public encounters with various European cultures and languages : a library open to the public with over 1,500 books in 9 European languages, events promoting reading for both children and adults (Open Book Wednesday); events to promote democratic education, dialogue and expressiveness in education for parents and teachers together with international partners. With the involvement of Timișoara community, Asociația Părinți în Dialog created in 2018 Makerspace@scoalababel - a space for children's artistic expression. For 5 years now Makerspace has been bringing the children of Timișoara closer to art and all kinds of creative techniques (carpentry, working with recyclable materials, pyrography).

Asociația Părinți în Dialog continuously promotes artistic expression and children's development through music, theater, storytelling, visual arts, attracting local artists to our community and creating workspaces for interaction. The association has ongoing collaborators from the community of specialists/artists such as professional actors (Armand Iftode), professional musicians (Andreea Vlas), professional visual artists (Birgita Almasi, Micheala Cooper, Jay Thorne) and professional storytellers (Ina Dafinescu).
