Do you like football?  You haven't been to church lately? 

Do you want to see a theatrical play in an unconventional space?

Come to see the play "God Doesn't Watch Matches" - the first Romanian monodrama about sports betting addiction.

It is played in three places of worship - the Roman Catholic Parish "Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Elisabetin III", the Piarist Church, and the Cetate Synagogue.

The play presents the thoughts, feelings, and behavior of a pathological gambler, as well as the context in which the addiction occurred.

After each performance, an addiction specialist, psychotherapist, and/or psychiatrist, together with the playwright and a representative of the place of worship where the play takes place, will have an open discussion with the audience about the subject of the play and addiction in general. Audience type - suitable for children aged 12 and over.with parental consent - the play does not contain vulgar language, nudity, or violence. The play illustrates the problem of sports betting addiction, associated with other addictions, such as alcohol and tobacco.

The project is part of the national cultural program "Timișoara - European Capital of Culture in 2023" and is financed by the Grow Timișoara 2023 program, run by the Timișoara Project Center, with a budget allocated through the Ministry of Culture, from the state budget.
