In 1897, the famous architect Lipót Baumhorn, known as the Father of Synagogues, completed the architectural plans for the new synagogue in the Fabric district. On July 28 the construction authorization was obtained. The local architect József Kremer was responsible for the construction of the synagogue, and was able to complete the monument in two years.
