You are invited to join us on the Pelican for the cyanotype workshop we are organizing as part of our project.

With the support of natural habitat and highly evolved plants experts in our team we identify plant species relevant to the Bega canal, which will then use together to generate mini artworks using the cyanotype technique.

Participation is open for all, all materials being made available to participants free of charge. The activity lasts approximately three and a half hours. Registration for participation is mandatory and can be done here.

Cyanotype is a process discovered in 1842 by Sir John Herschel, the first to introduce terms such as "negative", "positive" and "instant". The British woman Anna Atkins (1799-1871) is considered to be the first person in the world to create an illustrated book with her own photographs, using the cyanotype technique: British Algae - Cyanotype.
