Time to Rock aims to support Timișoara's rock culture by promoting both new and established rock bands. Founded by the Timiș County Youth Foundation (FITT) and active since December 2019, the initiative has showcased big names, focusing on new bands in its second edition in February 2023. Its vital role in the community is to provide a platform for young rock bands, supporting the next generation of rock musicians in the country. Time to Rock 2023 will organize concerts between September and October and a festival across different rock sub-genres at the end of October, involving bands from Romania and abroad, in Timișoara and Timiș County. Accessibility will be ensured for people from certain disadvantaged groups, and a translator will be provided for individuals with hearing impairments at some concerts.

The project is part of the national cultural Programme “Timișoara - European Capital of Culture 2023” and is funded through the OverBorder Culture+ programme, carried out by the Cultural and Art Center of Timiș County, with funds allocated from the state budget through the Ministry of Culture
