Camelia Neagoe is a choreographer and carries out projects in the field of contemporary dance and cultural education, both as an artist and as a cultural manager. She collaborated, as a choreographer, in the creation of the contemporary dance performances Work in Progress, LUX, Connect Urban Performance, Stuck on a Crosswalk and the short dance film BOOT CAMP. She is interested in the expressive force of movement in relation to verbal language, the ability of the body to generate and convey messages, and current themes that reflect the daily life of individuals in contemporary society.
She is co-founder of the Delazero Association and has initiated or collaborated in projects with a strong social dimension such as Connect Contemporary Dance Festival, DansNomad, Obor Contemporan, StartDans, Dansul Deschide. She frequently teaches contemporary dance workshops and is a graduate of the Choreography Department, National University of Theatre and Film ”I.L. Caragiale”.
