We melt when we hear her voice, and it always brings us pleasure to see her. A constant presence on the Timisoara stage and a complete artist, Amalia Gaiță will be with us at LA PAS!
A singer and songwriter, Amalia has made her mark on the soul-rock scene with an eclectic approach, spiced up with a touch of funk and jazz, all "incredibly soulful," as Beth Hart appreciated after seeing one of her concerts.
Alongside the band consisting of Mihai Moldoveanu (bass), Vlad Cotruș (guitar), and Adrian Șchiopu (drums), Amalia Gaiță has released three albums: "Melting Sun," "The Grey EP," and "Mimosa," most recently in 2023. The band has graced rock, blues, alternative, and even jazz stages.
Amalia is also a visual artist, with the cover of her debut album featuring an image from her photo project "A bird’s year." "Melting Sun" is a vibrant journey, full of color, interpreted intimately through a fusion of jazz-soul-funk-rock alternative.
Her latest album, "Mimosa," is an embrace of the organic and electric, bridging the old and the new. Mimosa's music, like the tree under which it was written, carries a sensitivity to touch - it opens and closes, hides and electrically discharges.
And "The Grey EP" is a stormy rock material, with the EP being released in the form of a complete darkness "listening party" so the audience can deeply connect with the music.
We will meet with Amalia and her band on October 13-15 at the LA PAS Festival - a festival of artisanal gastronomy at the "Corneliu Miklosi" Public Transport Museum in Timisoara.
