The show Mutat de la noi will be held five times as part of the Memory of water, our memory project.

The performances will take place on: 13, 14, 15, 17 and 18 October 2023.

Spectators are expected each of these days, at 6:30 p.m., at BASTION, in the Punctele Cardinale bus station. They will be picked up by a dedicated means of transport.

Basically, the show starts at the moment of boarding the bus, continuing at the WATER MUSEUM.

Access to the event is free, subject to registration in the form provided by the organizers.

The show, written and directed by Bogdan Sărătean, offers an immersive experience, in which the spectators are witnesses and participants in the journey of Mbaye, a Senegalese who boards a ship of clandestine migrants bound for Europe.

Along the journey, Mbaye recalls certain key moments and characters from his childhood. His inner monologue is interspersed with interviews and short interventions filmed in Europe, Africa, South America and Asia.

Mbaye's journey is the journey of hundreds of thousands of people fleeing war, poverty, hunger.

Just tomorrow, the merry-go-round of history could uproot you too, forcing you to run, to leave everything behind.

In this grinder of moving, of migration, an occult dimension seems to govern our destinies, whether we call it voodoo in Africa, or charms/spells in the Romanian countryside.
