One World Romania International Documentary and Human Rights Film Festival returns to Timisoara in the year of the European Capital of Culture, with films from the 16th edition selection, under the theme A GOOD LIFE. The festival will take place on 2 - 5 November at the Cinema Victoria, with the support of the partner festival Ceau, Cinema! Most of the screenings will be followed by debates with special guests: filmmakers, representatives of local NGOs, experts on the subjects addressed in the films. Among the documentaries in the selection are some of the best sellers of this year's edition in Bucharest, most of them presented in a single screening in Timisoara. The theme of this year's edition is reflected in a programme that contextualises and questions how the philosophical concept of the good finds multiple portrayals in today's culture and society, oscillating between immediate individual satisfaction and sustainable collective well-being. Other established themes of the festival, such as migration and the refugee situation, the recovery of recent history or vulnerable communities, both globally and in the context of the war in Ukraine, will not be ignored.
