Timisoara, let's ROCK the Closing together!

In the closing weekend of the European Capital of Culture, FLIGHT FESTIVAL presents Rock for Life, an event supported by friends of the genre that brings together great personalities - true legends of rock - on stage in Timișoara: Phoenix, Cargo, Mircea Baniciu, Implant for Refuz.

Rock music is an indisputable symbol of the spirit of Timișoara, which marked the history of music but also the history of Romania. Rock, through its representatives, generated throughout the communist period a special state of mind in Timișoara, which was decisive in the Romanians' fight for freedom. In this context, in the year of the European Capital of Culture, rock from Timișoara must be celebrated through an event that brings together great personalities of this musical genre from Timișoara.

The concerts will take place on Thursday, December 7, 2023, on the outdoor stage in VIP Parking (UBC3), at Iulius Town, starting at 19:00.

A light show with 250 drones powered by Iulius Town could not be missing from the #LightUPtheSKY program.

The organizers of the event are: FLIGHT FESTIVAL, in partnership with Iulius Town, the Association for ATI Timișoara and the West University of Timișoara.

The sponsor of the concert, through whose contribution this event is possible, is BCR.

In addition to the symbolic, musical and emotional value, the "Rock for life" concert has, as the name suggests, also a special humanitarian goal: helping the patients of a hospital institution in the region.
