How do you set up a museum in 6 months?
Well, there is no magic formula. But clearly there are ingredients and models of good practice from which we can draw inspiration, learn and adapt.
For more than half a year, in Timișoara we made the transition from the city's former Water Plant to a community place, open to cultural and educational events, accessible for those passionate about industrial heritage and for those curious to know the stories of good water to drink.
In 6 months, over 20,000 people - children and adults - crossed the threshold of the Water Museum in Timișoara, exploring an attractive and modern museum space, built on the heritage and heritage of the former Timișoara Water Plant, put into operation on June 1, 1914.
At the end of the project, we invite you to discover together our recipe, but also the recipes of other technical museums in the country and abroad, in two days of conference and discussions for professionals, partners and beneficiaries.
In the closing weekend of the European Capital of Culture, at the Water Museum we talk about new beginnings and collaborations.
