The event is part of Zona &.
For ZONA & Elvisey Pisică proposes a spoken-word performance, presented here for the first time. Combining poetry with experimental sound, he delves into issues such as fragility, discrimination, transgender identity, marginalization, addressed from an intersectional perspective which links the investigation of subjectivity with the social and political dimension.
Elvisey Pisică is an intersectional and interdisciplinary artist, who graduated from the Faculty of Theater in Timișoara. He started writing spoken word pieces and theater from an early age, along with poetry and sound experimentation. Within the past year, he has been drawn to musical production, combined with direct, visceral lyrics. He took part in the performance series Rezistența este o fată care schimbă lumea [Resistance Is A Girl Who Changes the World], organized by Giuvlipen, and he published in the anthology Un secol de poezie română scrisă de femei [A Century of Romanian Poetry Written by Women], edited by Alina Purcaru and Paula Erizanu at Editura Cartier. He took part in exhibitions such as The Scorpion Snuff Box – a visual journey into a queer novel, curated by Valentina Iancu Airam and Iulia Dondorici, organized by Identity.Education Association (2023), as well as in the exhibition initiated through the platform Triumf Amiria – The Museum of Queer Culture (2021/2022).
