On 8-10 December, Timisoara marks the closing of the Timisoara 2023 - European Capital of Culture Program. The West University of Timisoara has prepared a series of events for Timisoara residents of all ages. This important moment represents not only the end of a remarkable chapter in the cultural history of Timisoara, but also an opportunity to reflect on our past, with a focus on a highly symbolic event - the 1989 Revolution. 

The debate "How to talk about the 1989 Revolution to young people" creates the context in which university professors, teachers, school inspectors, students and pupils discuss how the subject of the 1989 Revolution can and should be approached in schools and colleges.

The event will be moderated by Vasile Popovici, university professor, writer and diplomat, and Mădălin Bunoiu, university professor.
