Interdimensional Spaces is aimed at students who will be able to deepen their knowledge of Platonic Solids by describing, drawing and understanding them in axonometry and isometry.
Students will learn basic concepts to understand the plane and solid geometry of the five geometric solids, manifestations of the numbers 3, 4, and 5 constructed and expressed in volume by the triangle, square, and pentagon, the only geometric structures with all angles and edges equal.
In parallel with going through the theoretical concepts, students will materialize and learn skills about their shape with the help of clay, kaolin, in ceramic seriality workshops, building and deconstructing the actual Platonic Solids and interpreting them through a playful exercise.
The designer Mihai Caraghiaur. will decipher and provide an expanded understanding of the concepts of image, light, form, contextualizing from the design perspective of the Platonic Solids.
Another stage of the project will consist of the interpretation of Platonic Solids through electronic adaptations in the contemporary context of art and new media with the help of visual artists Tsvetlana Angelova (BG) and Dorian Bolca.
Also, an open workshop of mural art and ambient design in the context of contemporary art will be held, and Mihai Caraghiaur will facilitate a compositional and ambient interpretation for a mural artwork that will be made at the Ion Vidu High School of Fine Arts in Timișoara .
