The creative writing workshops are dedicated to children from partner schools, with the aim to open their horizons to the vast world of literature and to cultivate their storytelling skills. By actively participating in these sessions, children will have the opportunity to learn directly from a wordsmith, discover creative writing techniques and let their imaginations run wild in new and exciting ways.
The activites are coordinated by Robert Şerban, writer, journalist and television personality, author of poetry but also of several volumes of literature for children and youth. Robert Șerban, with his vast and diverse experience, will encourage children to discover the history of Timisoara through stories, to imagine events from the city's past but also from the future, to express their creativity and develop their imagination in a unique way. Children will look to the city as a source of inspiration, turning places, historical facts and cultural elements into stories full of life and colour. Thus, in addition to developing writing and critical thinking skills, children will appreciate the city's cultural heritage more. These sessions therefore contribute to the development of a sense of pride and cultural belonging among the young people of Timișoara.
Through these activities, we aim to open new horizons in terms of educational methods and resources and to place a special emphasis on the valorization of Timisoara's cultural and historical heritage through narrative art and storytelling. Stories become a bridge to knowledge and self-knowledge, offering a unique perspective on the world around us.
