Guido is a film director trying to relax after his latest big success. However, he can't get a quiet moment, because people who have collaborated with him in the past are constantly looking for more work. He struggles with his conscience, but is unable to come up with a new idea. As he thinks, he begins to remember major events from his life and all the women he loved and left.
