We are happy to announce a new Introductory course of contemporary art held by Maria Orosan-Telea on December13 starting at 6:00 p.m.

The first Introductory course of contemporary in the the exhibition of one of the most important contemporary artists of her generation, Ioana Nemeș, entitled "Rituals, Keepers and Storms," curated by Diana Marincu and Kilobase Bucharest, will discuss how the archiving of the everyday and notions such as individual time and historical time have emerged as specific concerns of conceptual art since the 1960s.

The exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday between 12:00 and 18:00, with access being free!

Maria Orosan-Telea is a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and Design in Timișoara and director of the "Heritage, Restoration and Curatorship" master's degree program. She studied art history and theory at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. She has been concerned with contemporary art since her doctoral studies when she researched Romanian art from the post-communist period. Her collaboration with the Art Encounters Foundation began in 2017 with the publication of the "Art Guide. Introduction to Romanian contemporary art" book. As a curator, she conducted a series of projects in collaboration with the Avantpost group, and in 2018, she founded the curatorial program DRAFT. Between 2019 and 2021, she was an assistant in the project "Gender Politics and the Art of European Socialist States" initiated by the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Adjacent to academic and curatorial activities, she is concerned with developing friendly methods for familiarizing the public with notions and trends in art history. She attended training courses offered by MoMA, New York, to obtain skills in this field.
