Chess Artist at UVT is a mixed, interdisciplinary cultural project, a fusion between chess and visual arts, in which the protagonists of the chess tournament become artists who use colours to map the movements of the chess pieces, obtaining a map of the game. At the end of the tournament, dozens of collaborative works will have been created in this way. At the same time, student-artists will create their own interpretation of chess games using mixed decorative art techniques. The result of this endeavour will be exhibited in an exhibition that highlights chess, a game with a recurring and significant presence in the history of art. The chess tournament will take place on February 18, and the exhibition will be inaugurated on the same day, at the end of the competition, and can be visited on February 19 as well.
