Huniade Bridge or Maria Bridge as the locals call it. The old name was Huniade Bridge. It was built in 1917 and replaced the Iron Bridge, moved downstream between Ady Endre and Muresanu streets. Originally, however, a wooden bridge made by Peter Ward with Josefstadt was built here in 1871. With the electrification of the tramway in Timișoara, the bridge was reinforced in 1898. The Temesvári Villamos Városi Vasút Részvénytársaság tramway company paid a quarter of the cost of the work. The steel structure was replaced by a concrete one in 1911. Work stalled during the First World War and was not completed until 1917.

The bridge is the widest of the old bridges and has a span of 32.80 metres and a length of 40 metres, and the road is seven metres wide. The dismantled steel structure was moved downstream between Mureșanu and Ady Endre Streets and is called the Iron Pedestrian Bridge.
