The project consists of a series of events that focus on developing collaborative activities aimed at creating points of intersection between pedagogy and art, and in particular between artists, students, educators and people interested in educational alternatives.
Through these encounters, new learning tools can be developed through which contemporary art can contribute to the field of education in the form of aesthetic and collective development experiences, through which children and young people can come into contact with artistic processes that generate dialogue and reflection and can be encouraged to develop their own vision of life.
It is a pedagogy that continues the tradition of constructivist educators, where learning based on direct experience is the main objective, and art and critical thinking can best be learned through informal encounters with contemporary artists.
Minitremu opened with this occasion an inclusive research and collective learning space, in an informal setting that brings together the experience of its own activities, along with a wide range of theoretical and practical educational resources.
This is an open and collaborative space that is constantly evolving, open-source and work in progress, that is designed for various meetings and dialogues on education and art topics, and celebrates independent initiatives that contribute to the Romanian educational world while encouraging future contributions.
Minitremu (un)learning Center functions as a permanent exhibition, public library, workspace and studio, agora, and garden throughout the year. Its goal is to provide an overview of recent changes in artistic pedagogy but also to challenge traditional methods of education through art.
