EpiTalks. Talking about epilepsy

First aid station (Loc de prim ajutor)

An epileptic seizure can happen anywhere.

At home, at school, at work.

Even here.

This message and some first aid information in case of an epileptic seizure were posted in the bus stops on the E2 route in Timișoara using stencils. The asphalt printing was done on March 26th, Epilepsy Awareness Day, known as Purple Day.

The message can be seen on route E2, in the following stops: AEM/ Domășnean, Venus, Parc Sudului, Spitalul Județean, Oituz, Piața Mărăști, Dacia Service, Divizia 9 Cavalerie, Sf. Apostoli Petru și Pavel, Complex Studențesc.

Any place can be a first aid place.

Epi Shelf (Raftul Epi)

One in a hundred people has epilepsy. Most likely, each of us knows someone who has. However, epilepsy is hidden. That’s why it is called “the invisible illness”.

The Epi Shelf is another place where epilepsy can be seen. It features titles suggested by readers who understand or try to better understand the condition. Next to their favorite books, there are bookmarks with first aid when someone has a seizure.

The Epi Shelf setup was done on the Epilepsy Awareness Day, known as Purple Day, in the Cărturești bookstores in Timișoara, and will be kept until the end of May. Later, other bookstores joined the project on their own initiative and set up the Epi Shelf in Cărturești Arad și Cărturești Chișinău.
